Photo - Lighting workshop

I attended an urban lighting workshop in Leeds, run by Tom Poultney.  We had opportunities to try different types of lighting including ambient, available and flash.  It was a great night and I think that this image is my favourite.  I love the side lighting/shadows which I think compliment Tom's stance.

Photo - Girls Aloud

I went to Newcastle at the weekend to watch Girls Aloud.  For those who do not know, they were the first pop band created through a television show in the UK.  Cheryl, Nadine, Kimberley, Sarah and Nicola have been together for 10 years and last week opened their aptly named tour 'Ten' in Newcastle.  It was a wonderful journey through the groups greatest hits and an introduction to what I believe will be their next single.  A simple (ish) set, apart from the flying Girls Aloud sign, a few costume changes and some stellar dance routines gave us all a great night's entertainment.  OH (who is quite a bit older ;-) ) and I had a fantastic night.  Not sure about posting lots of images but I think I will risk the second shot from the evening...

Eat - Bruges Restaurant, Newcastle

Newcastle called this weekend, following a very exciting Christmas present (more about that later!)  I carefully checked TripAdvisor to look at the wonderful choice of restaurants.  I didn't have to look too far down the list until I happened upon Bruges.  I have an affinity with Bruges after I was taken there for my 30th birthday.  I love the food and more importantly, the ridiculous choice of beer.  Bruges Restaurant didn't let me down in either case.  For full review of this restaurant; follow this linky
